Overview
To trade on OddsForge, you need funds in your connected wallet on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) network. OddsForge supports trading with BNB and USDT (BEP-20). You'll also need a small amount of BNB to cover gas fees for every transaction.
Depositing is straightforward: send crypto to your MetaMask wallet address on the BSC network, and it's immediately available to trade with on OddsForge. There's no separate deposit step within the platform — your wallet balance is your available balance.
Option 1: Transfer from a Centralized Exchange
The most common way to fund your wallet is to withdraw BNB or USDT from a centralized exchange like Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, or OKX. Here's how:
- Copy your wallet address. Open MetaMask, make sure you're on the BNB Smart Chain network, and click your address at the top to copy it.
- Go to your exchange. Navigate to the Withdraw page for BNB or USDT.
- Paste your wallet address as the destination.
- Select the BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) network. This step is critical — do not select ERC-20, TRC-20, or any other network.
- Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and confirm the transaction.
- Wait for the transaction to process. Most BSC withdrawals arrive within 1–5 minutes.
Option 2: Bridge from Another Blockchain
If you already hold funds on Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, or another chain, you can use a cross-chain bridge to move them to BSC. Popular bridges include:
- Binance Bridge — the official bridge by Binance
- Multichain (formerly AnySwap) — supports many token types
- cBridge by Celer — fast and low-fee bridging
Bridging typically takes 5–15 minutes and incurs a small fee. Make sure the destination chain is set to BNB Smart Chain and the destination address matches your MetaMask wallet.
Understanding Gas Fees
Every transaction on BSC requires a small amount of BNB to pay for gas — the computational cost of processing your transaction on the blockchain. This includes:
- Buying and selling outcome shares
- Approving tokens for trading
- Claiming winnings after market resolution
Gas fees on BSC are very low compared to Ethereum — typically $0.03–$0.10 per transaction. However, you must always keep a small BNB balance in your wallet to cover these fees. If your BNB balance reaches zero, you won't be able to execute any transactions, even if you have USDT.
Minimum Deposit
There is no platform-enforced minimum deposit on OddsForge. However, keep in mind:
- Your exchange may have a minimum withdrawal amount (typically $10–$20 for BSC).
- You need enough BNB to cover gas for at least a few transactions.
- Very small trade amounts (under $1) may not be practical due to gas costs relative to position size.
We recommend starting with at least $20–$50 to have a comfortable trading experience — enough to place several trades and cover gas fees without worrying about running out.
Verifying Your Deposit
Once your transfer completes, you can verify it in several ways:
- MetaMask: Your updated balance will appear automatically in the wallet.
- OddsForge: Your available balance is shown in the navigation bar when connected.
- BscScan: Search your wallet address at bscscan.com to see all incoming transactions.
If your USDT balance doesn't appear in MetaMask, you may need to add the USDT token manually. Click Import tokens in MetaMask and paste the BSC USDT contract address: 0x55d398326f99059fF775485246999027B3197955.
