Smart Contract Security
Your funds on OddsForge are managed entirely by smart contracts deployed on BNB Smart Chain — not by a person, a company bank account, or a centralized database. The smart contract code defines exactly how funds can be deposited, traded, and withdrawn, and these rules cannot be changed arbitrarily.
The OddsForgeV2 smart contract has been designed with security as a top priority. Key security features include:
- Access control: Only authorized admin addresses can perform privileged operations like creating or resolving markets. Regular users interact only with trading and claim functions.
- Reentrancy protection: The contract uses established guard patterns to prevent reentrancy attacks — one of the most common smart contract vulnerabilities.
- Integer overflow protection: All arithmetic operations use safe math to prevent overflow and underflow exploits.
- Transparent source code: The contract source code is verified on BscScan, so anyone can audit the logic themselves.
Funds Held in Audited Smart Contracts on BSC
When you trade on OddsForge, your funds move between your wallet and the on-chain smart contract. The contract acts as an automated escrow — it holds funds for active markets and distributes payouts according to the rules encoded in the contract.
The OddsForgeV2 contract has undergone a thorough internal security audit covering:
- Access control and privilege escalation
- Token handling and fund flow
- AMM logic and price calculation
- Market lifecycle (creation, trading, resolution, claims)
- Edge cases and boundary conditions

Self-Custody — Your Wallet, Your Keys
OddsForge operates on a self-custody model. This means your funds are always either in your personal crypto wallet or locked in the on-chain smart contract. OddsForge does not hold your funds in a company account and cannot unilaterally access, freeze, or move your assets.
Self-custody gives you full control:
- Your wallet balance is always accessible to you, regardless of what happens to the OddsForge website.
- Shares you hold in the smart contract are tied to your wallet address. Only you can sell them or claim winnings.
- No third party can block your withdrawals or freeze your account.
Risk Factors
While OddsForge takes every reasonable precaution to protect your funds, it's important to understand the risks involved in any crypto and prediction market activity:
Market Risk
Prediction markets are inherently risky. If you buy shares in an outcome that doesn't happen, those shares become worthless. This is not a security issue — it's the fundamental nature of prediction markets. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose, and diversify your positions across multiple markets.
Smart Contract Risk
No smart contract is guaranteed to be 100% free of bugs. While the OddsForgeV2 contract has been audited and uses established security patterns, there is always a residual risk of undiscovered vulnerabilities. This risk exists for all DeFi protocols.
Wallet Security Risk
If your wallet is compromised — through phishing, malware, or a leaked seed phrase — an attacker could steal your funds. This is a risk of self-custody, and it's your responsibility to protect your wallet.
Blockchain Risk
OddsForge relies on BNB Smart Chain operating correctly. While BSC has an excellent uptime record, extreme scenarios like chain halts or consensus failures could temporarily affect the platform.
Tips for Staying Safe
Follow these best practices to protect your funds:
- Use a hardware wallet (like Ledger or Trezor) for large balances. Hardware wallets keep your private keys offline and protected from malware.
- Never share your seed phrase with anyone, for any reason. Write it down on paper and store it securely offline.
- Bookmark oddsforge.org and always access the site through your bookmark. Never click links in emails, DMs, or social media posts claiming to be OddsForge.
- Verify the contract address before approving any transaction. Make sure you're interacting with the official OddsForgeV2 contract.
- Start small. If you're new to prediction markets or crypto, start with a small amount while you learn how the platform works.
- Keep your software updated. Use the latest version of MetaMask (or your preferred wallet) and keep your browser and operating system up to date.
- Be skeptical. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is. OddsForge does not offer guaranteed returns, airdrops via DM, or "special" investment opportunities.
